Sheila was certified as a professional coder in 2002 and is committed to helping small, independent mental health professionals navigate the insurance and revenue cycle process. She spent twenty years in a large healthcare network in Indianapolis where she received accolades in supervising and maintaining the AR for large family practices, general surgeons, and occupational health providers. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and expertise with you. In her spare time Sheila enjoys camping, cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and boxer puppy.

Hello. My name is Tara Steiner. I am a certified professional coder through AAPC. I have over 20 years experience in medical billing, and 10 years as a professional coder. I am familiar with every aspect of the revenue cycle, and have worked with most insurance companies. The specialties I have worked with in the past are Neurology, Sleep Medicine, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, and Independent Laboratories. I have been with SM Coding and Billing since 2020, and value the relationships that I have built with our clients. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, going to art galleries, and enjoying life with my husband.

Hello! My name is Kristen/Krys Wozniak. I have been doing medical billing and appeals for 21 years across various organizations and hospitals in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. I am currently the Senior Technology EDI Claims Analyst for Washington University School of Medicine. I have an extensive insurance collecting background with multiple insurance payers including but not limited to Veterans Administration, Workers Compensation and Special Case Agreeements. I have done medical billing and appeals follow up across many different fields within the medical industry including home health, hospice, professional and institutional billing. I hope to speak to you soon regarding any issues you are experiencing with your accounts. I have been with SM Coding and Billing since 2017. During my free time I work with regional and national organizations dedicated to advancing sexual, gender, and reproductive rights, with a focus on inclusive education, safe sex education, and community engagement. I am also a parent of an amazing neurodivergent child named Tristan who is the absolute joy of my life.

I am a retired master’s level mental health counselor with over twenty years of experience in medical insurance and billing, including coding and billing for my own private practice. When my practice became too large to manage my own billing, I turned to SM Coding and Billing! I understand your practice and am here to serve. I am wife to my best friend, Mom to 2 adult sons, Nana to 12 grandchildren, and my first great grandchild. My free time is filled with hiking the Red Rocks of Sedona Arizona, RVing, river kayaking, loving on our dogs, and stepping out in Pride with my LGBTQIA+ family of choice.
